John grew up in Orange County, California. He became a follower of Jesus Christ after hearing a message by Dr. Billy Graham in 1963. Two years later John attended Fullerton Junior College. There his involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ had a profound influence in shaping his life goals.

John graduated from Cal. State University of Long Beach and later Talbot School of Theology. He is currently working on his Doctorate through Phoenix Seminary.

John and his wife Carol have been married 37 years and have four sons (Steve, Jeremy, David, Brian).

Northwest Bible Church began in John’s living room 27 years ago.
